WHEN IS CHRISTMAS CELEBRATED?
Every year Christmas is celebrated on the 25th of December. It is considered to be the birth
anniversary of Jesus Christ. On this auspicious day, people go to the church to take blessings from
the Lord. Although the main celebration takes place on this day but the preparations start almost a
week ago.
It is one of the most festive time of the year. The approaching New Year makes this occasion filled
with happiness and joy. Also, it is the time of vacations so people get to spend time with family and
enjoy it to the fullest.
WHY IS CHRISTMAS CELEBRATED?
Christians belief that on 25th December God came down to earth and took birth in the form of a
human child. He was believed to be the messiah of God who came down to save mankind. Jesus
was born in Bethlehem to Mother mary.
Jesus Christ showed the right path to the people. He even made a lot of sacrifices for the mortal
beings. The most significant one being his crucification in the cross to nullify the sins of the world.
This is the reason people loved him and followed his teachings. On 25th of December people
remember him fondly and celebrate his birthday with great feasts!
